In Paris 1952 Hubert du Givenchy founded his haute couture fashion house. When starting out Givenchy was creating very feminine, modern collections. Givenchy’s fine attire of skirts and blouses went on to get recognition from Vogue and other fashion magazines. With interest on the rise Givenchy was soon welcoming inspirational women from the past into his fashion house like Elizabeth Taylor, Greta Garbo and kindled a loyal friendship with global sweetheart Audrey Hepburn, whom turned into a major Givenchy brand ambassador. Since then Givenchy sunglasses has been part of the rebirth of the brand that are commissioned by Riccardo Tisci. Tisci became creative director of Givenchy in 2005 and brought out a new dark, gothic side to the collections, and his style is portrayed through the Givenchy sunglasses by the use of bold colours, thick acetate frames with intricate twists, giving Givenchy sunglasses their appeal.
